Larger Party Accommodations at Walt Disney World

Photos of kitchen, livingroom, and bedroom options at Walt Disney World

Are you interested in staying in the magic when traveling with five, six, or even more people? Check out these recommendations for the best places to stay immersed in the magic without having to leave Walt Disney World resort.

Moderate 5th Sleeper Options: Least Expensive for families of five

Each of these rooms can accommodate up to 4 adults and 1 child. These are great options if you have no concerns over sharing one room with five people. Ideally, these are best suited for families with 2 adults and 3 children (two of which have no issues with sharing a bed). Each will include two queen beds (or one queen bed and one queen-size pull down table bed) and one twin-size pull down bed. Your resorts with this option include: Caribbean Beach Resort and Port Orleans Resort-Riverside.

While each of these are moderately priced resorts, they will be the least expensive option. Of the two options, we prefer Caribbean Beach Resort due to the incredible access to Disney’s Skyliner which brings you directly to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Value Family Suites and Cabins: Least Expensive for families of six

Family Suites provide room enough for 6 guests and feature separate sleeping areas, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette! Each suite has a maximum capacity of six adults and includes includes a bedroom with one queen-size bed; one double-size pull down table bed, and one double-size sleeper sofa. This is ideal for families that need a little extra space. Suites will be slightly more expensive than 5th sleeper moderate rooms but may be worth it for the space and extra bathroom.

Family Suites are available at Art of Animation Resort and All-Star Music Resort.

Our top choice from these two resorts is heavily dependent on your plans while at Walt Disney World. Art of Animation is ideal for families who plan to spend most of their time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT due to access to Disney’s Skyliner. Due to this access, this resort is priced higher than All-Star Music. If you’re only planning to visit (or spend most of your time at) Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, then you may be better off saving some money and staying at All-Star Music Resort.

Looking for something a bit different? The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offer the comforts of home IN the outdoors. Each cabin is private and includes a fully equipped kitchen, sleeping space for up to six guests, a living and dining area, AND a private patio with a grill and picnic table. This is ideal for a family who loves the woods and is looking for a unique experience. Please note that this resort is massive and busses will need to be taken everywhere (including internally). I highly recommend renting a golf cart (added expense) when staying here.

Deluxe Villas: Ideal for larger families in need of space

Looking for larger accommodations, including separate bedrooms and more space? Disney’s Deluxe Villas feature 1, 2, and 3 Bedroom Villas, which include spacious living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and a washer and dryer. In addition, Villas are found at Deluxe resorts which feature incredible dining, amazing pools, and (sometimes) are even walking distance to the parks. These are ideal for larger families or multi-generational trips.
